We believe that an exceptional home deserves an exceptional soundscape, without forcing an aesthetic sacrifice.We don't build technology to be hidden. We craft modern, funky, and sculptural audio systems designed to seamlessly complement contemporary interior architecture, standing proudly as a design centrepiece.

Octo is a proudlly South African business. Our founders, Cornel Neethling and Shawn Godfrey, are qualified industrial engineers. Before launching Octo, Shawn and Cornel successfully scaled LED Lighting South Africa (LLSA), dominating the commercial lighting sector with award-winning, locally manufactured designs.Following that success, they founded RetailWave Technologies, providing quality audio to many of the retailers with whom they had already earned trust through their lighting solutions.Within its very first year, RetailWave Technologies’ high-end commercial audio solutions were selected by many of South Africa’s premier retail and hospitality giants, including @home, Nando’s, Cape Union Mart, Granny Goose, Wellness Warehouse, Markham, and the Shoprite Group.Having perfected and scaled world-class acoustic technology for commercial spaces across the country, Shawn and Cornel realised they wanted that exact same superior sound depth in their own living rooms.Octo was born from their shared obsession with perfect acoustics, beautiful aesthetics, and local manufacturing innovation.
